THE
MAKING
The
making of our products follows the ancient traditions.
The art of forging iron is ancient and there are only few
artisan who still work the iron with passion and love according
to experiences passed down from the past to the present.
We can also make our products as shown by our customers
drawings.
The
process of wrough iron is divided in several phases:
First phase: before proceeding to the creation of
any object it is always
necessary to draw the measures of the height, length, breadth
and any other necessary data.
Second
phase: the iron is cut to the measures wanted. It is
heated to the forge (fireplace to heat the iron) to the
temperature of 1000 C When the iron is hot, comes
set down on the anvil and hand worked with the hammer or
with the pneumatic hammer for the decorations.
Third
phase: the pieces forged are joined together with the
welder or with nails and, if the project need it, they are
hand incised.
Fourth
phase: The structure is finished. The last rifiniture
is brought. In particular, sandblast (to clean the rag remaining
from the working and imperfections).
The painting can be carried out with epossidic painting.
If the structure is destined to outside (for example a gate),
exhibited to the weather, rain, etc, we proceed with metallization
(sandplasting and zincification) to avoid damages.
However all of our pieces are protected with a protection
enamel .
Fifth
phase. Finally the structure is ready to to be sent
or sold.
